Strengthen Our Roots

This design, Strengthen Our Roots, is arguably the most recognizable design from CityLove. The image is a free-hand illustration from Angela Warner, aka ‘Angamo’, and debuted during the winter of 2007. It has been printed in approximately (10) styles…..and also once as the “wedding favor” for some good friends.

This shirt was also the first to have a dedicated BACK print, now a standard addition on every piece we make.

Background: CityLove had the “double-buffalo” idea in mind and Angamo did an awesome job bringing the ROOTS and BRANCHES together. We love it when people don’t immediately recognize the Buffalo in the branches. The original inspirational message was: “If the ties that bind us have grown weary and loose, then strengthen the city and make deeper our roots!”
